Our Team
Every member of our team is highly committed to our shared goal and dedicated to the work required to get there. Each athlete trains their individual fitness throughout the week - both on and off the horse - focusing on strength, flexibility, coordination, and technical skill.
Despite some members living hours apart, we come together multiple times a month for squad training sessions to refine our teamwork, choreography, and connection as a group. Outside of training, all of our vaulters are either studying or working, balancing their personal commitments with the demands of high-performance sport.

The horse is another athlete within the team, and their training plays a vital role in our squad’s performance. Their education is central not only to our journey, but to the continued development of the sport in Australia. Training includes groundwork, ridden work, lunging, and dedicated vaulting sessions - all supported by our vaulters and a wider network of individuals who help prepare and care for our horses.
As a team, we have contributed to the development of several horses now competing at national and international competitions in Australia, as well as supporting the progression of talented young horses entering the sport.

Eliza Wark-Chapman (28)
I have been vaulting for 20 years and I find for me, there is something a little magical about vaulting and the partnership you create with the horse, the lunger and your teammates. In the past 2.5 years I have returned to competitive vaulting, after a stunt double role reminded me of the joy of vaulting and opportunities it can bring. I am currently competing at an Advanced/CVI2* level individually and I am honoured to have received the 2023 Equestrian NSW Senior Vaulter of the Year Over 25, 2024, NSW Advanced Champion and 2024 National Advanced Champion. Vaulting is not simply about the achievements, it is a holistic sport which creates so much opportunity for self-growth and lasting connections with the people around you. Although I enjoy vaulting as an individual, I love being a part of a squad or Pas de Deux and thrive off the way this expands the depth of what can be achieved. Outside of vaulting myself, I am a coach of riding and vaulting, and work in several roles at a fantastic small school in Central West, NSW. I particularly love seeing the growth of athletes and horses I work with and the pride in which they feel surrounding their development. The journey of Nexus thus far fills me with pride at how far we have come collectively and individually. I can’t wait to see what our future holds as we continue on this journey together!

Bronagh Miskelly (20)
I am currently competing individually in open/CVI3* level. I have been vaulting since I was 8 years old as a part of Sydney Vaulting Group. I was privileged to be in a canter squad as a flyer in my first years of vaulting. I was introduced to vaulting through horse riding where I found my passion for this incredible sport. The bond between horse, vaulter and lunger is all about trust and when this is achieved, the vaulting experience can be very rewarding. Some highlights include going overseas for an exchange in 2017, where I trained and competed in Germany at a CVI in Krumke. I was also a part of the main performance at the Sydney Royal Easter Show in 2018 & 2019. I spend a lot of time training and coaching and am currently one of the coaches at Sydney Vaulting Group. Outside of vaulting I enjoy going to the gym and I am currently working as a support worker. I am so grateful for my team and for this opportunity. I can’t wait to see what we are capable of achieving.

Hi, I'm Ivy. I am so proud to be a part of the Nexus squad, and with these amazing athletes. I am so excited for what is to come. I started vaulting in 2013 at the age of 7. From horse riding and gymnastics, I fell in love with the sport straight way. From there on I went to State and National Championships at various levels, and won 2018 Interschools NSW High School Champion and 2018 VNSW Novice Grade Champion. In 2018 & 2019 I competed at the Sydney Royal Easter Show as part of VaultAire Show Team. My passion for the sport went on and I was waiting on the next great thing for me to accomplish in this wonderful sport. When training for Nexus started, my team mate Eliza and I started training Pas de Deux, and at the Great Southern CVI in April 2024 we won the 1* Pas de Deux. From there on Nexus' motivation skyrocketed. With the support of this team, won the Intermediate State and National Champion title for 2024. In my free time I ride horses, spend as much time with friends and family and try to do anything creative, such as sewing, drawing, baking and flower arranging. I love to allow this creativity to flow into my vaulting.

Erin Ryan (25)
I’ve been vaulting since I was around six years old, and I now compete as an Advanced/CVI2* vaulter in individual, PDD and squad. In addition to my own competitive journey, I’m also a coach and lunger at my local club, where I coach during the week and volunteer on weekends. I’m dedicated to growing the sport and have had the opportunity to introduce vaulting to a high school sports program. Vaulting has taught me many valuable lessons, especially when it comes to working within a team, and balancing my own mental health. I was a part of the 2017 German Vaulting Exchange, alongside being a part of the team to perform at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.

Tegan Davis (22)
I am currently competing individually at Advanced/CVI2* level. I’ve been vaulting since I was six years old, and over the years, this incredible sport has become a huge part of my life. One of the things I love most about vaulting is the unique partnership between the horse, the vaulter and the lunger. It’s such a rewarding experience to build that bond and trust, especially as I work with my mum to train up our own vaulting horse. I also really value the teamwork aspect of our squad; relying on and trusting in each other to create something beautiful together.
When I’m not training or competing, I’m coaching other vaulters or at university completing my degree in Physics and Maths. I’m excited to see where this vaulting journey takes us as we work towards some big goals, including competing overseas. I can’t wait to see how far this journey goes!

Nicki Coleman (23)
I started vaulting in my late teens, in 2021, so I’m relatively new to the sport. Despite this, I am now competing at the advanced/CVI2* level. In December 2024, I joined the Nexus Vaulters team, and I’ve loved every minute with these amazing teammates. My journey in vaulting began when I watched my now fellow teammates perform at the Sydney Royal Easter Show. Inspired by their performance, I researched the sport and found my way to my club, ARC Vaulting.

Before vaulting, I was a competitive dancer and taught myself basic gymnastics. I’ve always loved gymnastics and had an interest in horses, but owning a horse wasn’t an option for my family. That’s what makes vaulting so special to me—you get to form bonds with these incredible horses as though they were your own, and you compete alongside them with grace and trust.
Outside of vaulting, I represented Australia in performance gymnastics at the 2023 World Gymnaestrada in Amsterdam. It was an unforgettable experience that continues to motivate me as I prepare for Gymnastics Masters, the 2026 World Vaulting Championships with the team, and the 2027 World Gymnaestrada.

In addition to competing, I coach younger vaulters at my club and train our up-and-coming vaulting horses. I also work in the events industry, which allows me to balance my passion for vaulting with my professional life.

Tigerlily Jakeman (14)
I started vaulting in 2022 when I was 12, and I instantly fell in love with it. Before vaulting, I did gymnastics and horse riding, so finding a sport that combined both was like a dream come true. Vaulting has become such a big part of my life, and there are so many components that I love; the bond I get to build with the horses and my vaulting friends, the exhilarating atmosphere when performing, the sense of achievement when I accomplish something new, my growing resilience and ability to have a laugh when it doesn’t go to plan, and the ability to add my own unique flavour to this incredible sport.
Some of my best moments so far have been training and competing with Nexus, winning my class at Nationals in 2022 which was my second competition ever, winning the 2024 Children’s CVI1*, winning the 2024 ENSW Interschools Senior Champion, and winning the 2024 SVG Junior Vaulter of the year award. I have some big goals for the future and my determination and grit has motivated me to work even harder, training before and after school and at every opportunity I can. I can’t wait to be an active part of continuing to grow this sport, inspire people to challenge themselves and have fun along the way!
Thankyou to our sponsors and supporters for helping us on our journey.
